I suppose now’s a good a time as any to warn you this anime is not for the faint of heart. So why am I watching this then?

Another year, another plethora of juggle combos, game of footsies and throwing turtles (not literally, unless of course they’re of the anthromorphic kind). When it came to fighting games, 2011 offered sequels, updates to classic titles and, of course, updated versions of Capcom titles.
What’s in store for 2012? We take a look at some of the new titles to hit this year in Fighting Forecast - Round 1.

Slowly but surely our Straw Hats are taking their leave of Fishman Island. Of course, leave it to Luffy to make an enemy along the way…

Addressing all Pokénerds, Mewtwo will finally run rampant on Black and White versions. Of course, while there is the old fashioned way of acquiring this all-powerful Psychic type, a WiFi event starting on February 12 for all English-speaking countries will distribute Mewtwo as a followup to the Japanese release last year.

It didn’t take too long before a committed emotional investment was necessary to grasp the true taste of AnoNatsu.

Remember the report on the possible live-adaptation of JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure which was shot down soon after? Well, turns out that was just a ruse and the live adaptation is really happening.

Insomniac boss Ted Price has told VG247 that the studio will not be making any more Resistance games. However, that’s not to say that there won’t be any more Resistance games ever again—just not from Insomniac.
As Marcus Smith, creative director for Resistance 3, said last August, Sony will probably find another developer to carry on the PlayStation exclusive shooters.
Insomniac is now working on Overstrike, a game for EA and several other smaller games for its new Insomniac Click division.

Plot details are still fairly sparse, but what appears to be the official plot synopsis for the upcoming Amazing Spider-Man was recently unveiled by The Times of India, before it hit all major news outlets.
Hit the break for details.
