Kojima Productions looking to hire for Metal Gear Series
Are seeking a job in the video game industry?
Do you love Metal Gear?
Then pay attention as this post may be for you.
A job listing recently appeared on Konami’s home page for staffing over at Kojima productions.
The listings are setting up for staffing to work as “next generation Metal Gear Solid Series Production Staff.”
Positions listed include:
- General planners
- Level designers
- Game character
- Concept art
- 3D character modeling
- 3D stage modeling
- 3D character motion design
- Event scene production
- Effect production
- Interface design
All of this points to signs that a new Metal Gear series is about to start development.
Just keep one thing in mind.
If you are hired for the project, just remember which favorite tumbler site *coughPopulationGocough* dropped this knowledge on you. Sure, technically it came from IGN, but we can ignore the specifics.
Also, this may go without saying, but knowing how to speak and read Japanese—the home site is not in English by the way—may be a requirement.
Metal Gear Rising, which stars everyone’s favorite bishonen idol turned badass cyborg of destruction Raiden, is slated for release for PC, Xbox 360 and Playstation 3 sometime in 2012.
