Manga Review: Naruto – 591
One Uchiha down, one more to go!
The parting between the two Uchiha brothers was sweet, yet sad. Sasuke seemed to want Itachi to remain after hearing him out. Itachi seemed to wish to as well, but knew that everything that he wanted to do had already been accomplished. What would Sasuke do next? Would he follow on the path that he was set on, a path of revenge? Or would Sasuke change his ways and assist Naruto and the great nations in this war?
Free of the Edo Tensei, several characters resorted to the last moment to either assist others or to gain full control of themselves. Dan, for example, rushed off to provide last minute support to Tsunade. This enabled us to reexperience his flashback, one in which the continuing theme of Naruto was shown yet again. He uttered the infamous lines, “to be hokage, that is my dream,” which lit a fire in Tsunade, as she dodged a blow from Madara and received chakra. Madara on the other hand, utilized a jutsu to completly separate himself from the control of Edo Tensei user, enabling him to have immortality and limitless jutsu.
With the kage exhausted and essentially pinned against the wall by one of the strongest foes in the series; we wonder how in the world can he be defeated? It’s hard to imagine that the five kage will be able to resist his power. Could Naruto and Sasuke team up and manage to defeat him? Would Tobi step in either? Both situations are possible, but could not happen in a time frame that would assist the kage while minimizing casualties. Naruto is face-to-face with Tobi now, with Sasuke off in some cave—rather far from this desert arena. It will be interesting to see how Kishimoto handles this situation. This has definitely been a compelling chapter.
