Manhwa Review: Ability – 11
That is one awesome glove.
In this chapter, the monster lets down his guard, thinking that Yu-Hwa will heal him as he did before. Instead, he takes a beating from Yu-Hwa, who seems to be moving very fast. He seems to be making progress, but the burden of the police officer is too much and Yu-Hwa can’t protect him and fight at the same time. He is poisoned by one of the monster’s spines and begins to lose consciousness. The monster is preparing to kill the officer when Yu-Hwa calls out for help. A voice within him responds, asking if he awakened it. Yu-Hwa says no, and after a flash of light his powers are vamped up yet again with a glowing black right arm.
I was pretty pleased with this chapter because Yu-Hwa was actually winning for a while. It seems that his powers will be much more beneficial once they have been awakened. I’m not sure if the glove is giving him power or if Sa-Ryun did something to awaken it, but I’m curious to find out.
The chapters are getting better now that the fights are more evenly matched. The art is great, but I can only take so much of Yu-Hwa getting beaten to a bloody pulp. Things seem to be improving with the glove and the pink light, so hopefully we get rid of this monster permanently.
I’m looking forward to seeing how this fight ends as well as how the officer deals with all this craziness. Hopefully the little girl and Mase make another appearance as well.
