JT Krul Replaced On “Green Arrow” By Keith Giffen

It doesn’t seem that DC’s relaunched line of books is going entirely to plan. A couple of days ago it was confirmed that writer John Rozum would no longer be part of the new Static Shock title, and now DC have confirmed that JT Krul will no longer be behind Green Arrow.

——

The recently released solicitations for December revealed a creative team of Keith Giffen and Dan Jurgens for Green Arrow #4, with the blog soon confirming that the change was permanent. Krul, however, will still be writing the new Captain Atom title.

It’s a strange one really. I know that Krul’s run on Green Arrow has been mixed to say the least, but I didn’t expect him to either withdraw from the relaunched title or be removed. Perhaps something has happened behind the scenes?

I’m definitely interested in what Giffen will do with the character though.

Despite the mixed critical reception, Green Arrow #1 reportedly sold well.
