The Combat Of “The Last of Us”

GameInfomer has released yet another video about The Last of Us. This time, an interview with Bruce Straley (game director) and Neil Druckmann (creative director) focuses on the combat and AI of the upcoming game, about injecting more humanity to the game, as well as pushing the AI technology to its limits. It’s a very interesting video on how the game may turn out.

The element of “persistent health” is a part of the risks and consequences Naughty is looking to include in the game to make it more realistic, forcing players to constantly find new strategies in the game.

Both directors have once again assured that the entire game won’t be just a long escort mission, by making Ellie capable on her own, and even making her able to help you by throwing a brick at your enemies during the combat sections of the game.
