“Remember when I said I’d only do three Transformers films? Neither do I?”
So it looks like Michael Bay is eating his own words with a nice side of cash. He is officially set to helm the film franchise’s fourth installment which is set for a June 29th, 2014 release.
In the official announcement, Michael Bay agreed to a 2-film deal with Paramount Pictures, with the first film being his own personal project, Pain & Gain, which begins production this April with Mark Wahlberg and Dwayne Johnson set to star.
Also rumoured about the next Transformers film is that it may be a reboot of the franchise much in the same way that The Amazing Spider-Man is a reboot of Sam Raimi’s Spider-Man trilogy. No official word on that yet, but it is interesting.
