Toei To Present Super Sentai Show For Adults

Toei will release a new parody Super Sentai series in Japan this April meant for a more mature audience.
More details after the break.

The show, titled HikÅnin Sentai Akibaranger (Unofficial Sentai Akihabara Rangers), stars three otakus from Tokyo who stumble upon an evil scientist’s plan to destroy their neighborhood. With the help of a “beautiful scientist,” the three work together to essentially save Akiba. Their hideout is a parody of the famous Maid Cafe’s in Japan, dubbed a Sentai Cafe.

What’s probably impressive is who is involved in the project: Kamen Rider’s Ryuta Tazaki, Tiger & Bunny’s Keiichi Satou, Kamen Rider Kuuga writer Naruhisa Arakawa and Ghost in the Shell composer Kenji Kawai.
