Hosted by the Virginia Tech Phoenixes, Virginia Tech’s Quidditch Team, and held yesterday in Blacksburg, Virginia, The Sirius Blacksburg Brawl pitted nine teams in a tournament spanning over nine hours.

Teams that attended included: Virginia Tech, University of Richmond, University of Maryland, James Madison University, High Country Quidditch, William and Mary, University of Virginia, Christopher Newport University, and Virginia Commonwealth University.

Kicking off the first round of the tournament on pitch* #2 is Christopher Newport vs Virginia Tech. Virginia Tech wins 130 to 20.

The second round of the tournament has James Madison University against University of Maryland on pitch* #1. University of Maryland won 140 to 50.

Although many more matches were played, the third match I recorded is of the final round: University of Maryland vs. University of Richmond. University of Maryland wins 80 to 10.

*The pitch is the name for the field that Quidditch is played on.
