Manga Review: KHR Target - 376 & 377

Vindice’s surprising arrival caught Skull and Enma off guard! Shocking!
——
With the arrival of Vindice’s allied under Bermuda, several teams were thrown in disarray as they tried to figure out who this owner of the clear pacifier was and what he wants in it. From statements, it seemed that he may be set up as the actual antagonist in this arc. Essentially, it seemed that there is something that he wants with Checker-face sama and puts him at odds with the other babies.

The traditional Arcobaleno didn’t have much to go on on the motives of Bermuda other than he is a powerful person of their past. Yuni suggested that he may have some malicious motives, as well as something involving anger and pain with Checkerface-sama; however, it was all quite vague. Everyone just cast it aside as they continued to regroup from the previous battle.

Tsuna remained in character as he heard that Enma and crew were in the office. He visitied his friend and was immediately greeted to Chrome in the hospital. Chrome had been out of action for quite some time and speculated to make a surprise appearance as a member on someone’s team, so seeing her in the hospital was a bit shocking. It seemed her condition had worsened. Although this was the case, it seemed that her resolve was as strong as ever as she demanded to be put on the boss’s team. I imagined that she would be allowed to join since she was so determined about it. I wonder if it would affect her condition in anyway? But what is her condition? Is she dying? Is Mukuro’s illusions losing their effect on her?
The chapter seemed to bring up more questions than it answered. We were left wondering about Chrome, the Vindice, as well as the motives of Bermuda and Checkerface-sama. However, the ending of the chapter seemed to at least confirm that Vindice is not on good terms with anyone and are the antagonists. They seemed to launch some surprise attack outside of battle against the other teams. How would they respond? Hopefully no team loses.
