Atticus Ross, who is most famous for his recent collaborations with Trent Reznor on the soundtracks for the David Fincher films The Social Network and The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo, has got his first big major gig, Universal’s 47 Ronin.

Unlike his previous solo act in 2010’s The Book of Eli, 47 Ronin is being tabbed as a major tent pole film for Universal during the holiday season later this year. It stars Keannu Reeves (The Matrix Trilogy) along with Japanese actors Hiroyuki Sanada (The Last Samurai), Tadanobu Asanou (Thor), Rinko Kikuchi (The Brother’s Bloom), Cary-Hiroyuki Tagawa (Mortal Kombat) and dutch actor Yorick van Wageningen (The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo).
