I was really pleased with the emotional reactions of each character.  I was going to be pretty mad if Misaki forgave her father quickly because she isn’t the type to let go of grudges.  Misaki’s mom and Suzuna were also less than forgiving which was a real comfort considering that Sakuya left their family for so long.

There was also plenty of humor interspersed in the typical Kaichou Wa Maid-sama fashion and I really enjoyed the comical effect of the family ignoring their father because it lightened the mood.  The cooking contest and Sakuya’s failure was very lighthearted and I enjoyed the always wonderful underwear jokes contributed by Usui.  Misaki made a lot of progress as she coped with her perceptions of her dad being completely false and I was really proud of how her relationship with Usui was a support for her rather than a burden (as in many series, where drama always seems to break up the relationship).

This chapter was really entertaining overall and contained a lot of action that moved the plot forward.  I’m looking forward to how Sakuya will be incorporated into the story from now on and to seeing whether he will be able to move back into the house.  I am also loving the hints that Hinata and Suzuna are getting closer because I want Hinata to move on from Misaki after all this time.
