Toonami Returning To Adult Swim, Cartoon Network

What started off temporarily as an April Fool’s joke has now become reality: Adult Swim and Cartoon Network will be bringing back Toonami programming on Saturday, May 26…of this year.
More details after the break.
——
Back on April 1st, Cartoon Network aired a Toonami marathon — reruns of Bleach, Blue Submarine No.6, Dragon Ball Z, Mobile Suite Gundam Wing, Outlaw Star, Tenchi Muyo, Trigun, etc. — as part of an April Fool’s joke.
Adult Swim then later asked its Twitter followers if they wanted Toonami — which ended its 11-year run in 2008 — back permanently.
Needless to say, collective responses were unanimous, and they were heard loud and clear. Earlier today, Adult Swim tweeted the following:
“Attention Toonami Faithful: We heard you. On 05.26.12 #ToonamisBackBitches http://ow.ly/i/D8Rj”
