Ever since early footage of Chronicle was released, Josh Trank has become one of the hottest commodities for big motion picture projects. And he’s just found himself one more colossal project to work on: a film adaptation of the video game Shadow of the Colossus.
More details after the break.

Trank has reportedly signed a deal with Sony Pictures to direct a film adaptation of the Fumito Ueda-created game. Among other projects, working on a film adaptation of the video game has been one of his dream projects as he reportedly sought out this job—he’s a huge fan of the game since its release in 2005.
Along with working on Shadow of the Colossus for Sony, he is also attached to a Venom spin-off film which he is helping develop. In another Marvel connection, he is also developing the Fantastic Four reboot for 20th Century Fox along with working on his Chronicle sequel. Rounding out his bevy of film work is Red Star, which has him aligned with Warner Bros. in developing a film adaptation of that comic book.
