“Naruto” Mobile Card Game Coming To America

The first Naruto social card game will be coming to phones around the world thanks to GREE and with the cooperation of Namo Bandai Games.

GREE is one of the largest mobile phone game platforms and social networking services in Japan, and they plan on releasing the new role-playing game, tentatively called Naruto x GREE, in America and other countries oversees later this summer.

——

GREE announced in February that it plans to exhibit the game for the first time at E3 in Los Angeles this June. The game is a part of the 10th anniversary of the Naruto anime, based on Masahi Kishimoto’s original manga.

Users will collect Ninja Info Cards illustrated with the Naruto anime characters. They will be able to take on missions and hold challenges to raise their skill and levels. Also, users will be able to form ninja teams to defeat mutual enemies.

GREE plans to release the game onto feature phones at the end of June, while the game will be available on smartphones later this summer. This Friday, Japanese users can register in advance and will receive bonus in-game extras.

Currently, GREE is working on the English version for North America and plans to offer the game in other countries outside Japan.
