Universal Moving Forward With “Snow White” Sequel

[via]
Even though it’s been a week since its opening release, Universal Pictures seems dead set on moving forward with a sequel to Snow White and the Huntsman (you can catch the review here).
With a summer—and year for that matter—dominated by sequels it’s very rare for a studio to come up with a new and successful franchise, but with SWatH earning over $77 million over its first seven days Universal appears confident enough to fast track a sequel to the film, which has set itself up as an origin story for Snow White.
More details after the break.

Where the franchise will go beyond this film is beyond me, but Universal appears to have brought in David Koepp (Spider-Man, Jurassic Park, Mission: Impossible) to pen the sequel. Also being reported is Universal looking to retain the services of director Rupert Sanders who made his feature length debut with SWatH.
As for stars Kristen Stewart and Chris Hemsworth, it’s been reported that they have options for two sequels each so a return by them is more than likely.
