The perfect Susanoo, revealed!
Madara shocked and surprised with his awesome might. The kage all stood in sheer amazement at the size and scale of what stood before them. A mass of heavy intense-accumulated chakra — the perfect Susanoo — from Madara proved to be a difficult opponent that they now had to take on. Could five kage be as strong as the only character in history to defeat Madara, Hashirama? Unlikely, as they were all wiped out completely.
Perhaps the kage would stand a chance if they had the assistance of a Jinchuriki, though none were in their ranks. I think it seemed dire. However, those feelings could be forgotten as we had to remember that Madara could instantly be eliminated once the Edo Tensei World Resurrection Jutsu were ended.
Itachi concluded the jutsu, but what was more important during the scene was the conclusion to the Itachi and Sasuke discussion. Sasuke really looked quite sad and depressed over it. It almost seemed like he needed a hug as he was about to cry. His last words didn’t move Itachi. However, once Itachi stopped the jutsu he appeared to want to look at Sasuke one last time and do their bonding poke thing they had done in the past. This was sad as the bits and piece of Itachi started to fade away as he tried to get closer and closer to Sasuke. I hope he managed to make it in time.
This mini-Edo Tensei arc seemed to be done. It has been enjoyable thus far, and with all of our favorite antagonists back from the past, it was fun to see how old and new characters alike interacted with them. Quite a bit of speculation still exists as to what will happen in the Naruto versus Masked Man fight, as well as what enemy everyone on the other battlefields will now face. The Masked Man has now been greatly reduced in firepower, so his plan may not come to fruition.
Good chapter; however, next week Naruto is on break.
