Another day and another set of battles between characters we’ve always wanted to see in action.

Day 3 commenced with more battles. Fans of various characters were probably pleased with who was shown. I know I was when Eve-kun got in on the action from Blue Pegasus. However, like Gray, characters that I tend to like end up losing, and Eve was no exception. I have to wonder how people who are fans of other characters felt in these match-ups?

Fairy Tail was on a roll so another key member had to get his time to shine. This time, Laxus walked up. His challenger was a member of the antagonistic guild, Raven Tail. Last chapter made the guild seem like they wanted to take out Fairy Tail at all costs, and this chapter proved they were willing too.

I was kind of angry that they would resort to such cheap tactic. Utilizing the ability to get people focused on a choreographed fight in another dimension, while going four against one on Laxus. It will be impressive if, after being inspired by his teammates’ successes, he is able to defeat all of them. 

Overall, it was an interesting chapter with the revelation of Alexli being his father and the skill Raven Tail used. Laxus winning would be great and would finally eliminate one plot thread this arc to make it a bit more focused. I like how sprawling the arc has been with its directions but I’m ready for it to be focused and more dramatic and intense. Hopefully Kubo delivers.
