Movie Forecast: July 2012

July swings off to a quick start with the unusual and early release of Sony’s The Amazing Spider-Man reboot. With two mega blockbusters in the aforementioned Amazing Spider-Man and Warner Bros. The Dark Knight Rises, the month of July features the lowest number of major releases in a month this year with seven in total.

Four of the seven films will be released in 3D with those films being The Amazing Spider-Man, Katy Perry: Part of Me, Ice Age: Continental Drift and Step Up: Revolution

Hit the break to check out the full month’s release schedule and which movie is my pick of the month.

Pick of the Month: The Dark Knight Rises

Was there any doubt as to which movie would wind up as my pick of the month? The Dark Knight Rises concludes Nolan’s vision of the caped crusader of Gotham and has been something fans have been eagerly awaiting since the conclusion of 2008’s The Dark Knight
