The mystery film from Marvel Studios for 2014 may still be shrouded in secrecy, but news and rumours about it are still rampant. Deadline reports that the film has had its release date moved back from May 16, to an August 1, 2014 release. 

No official announcement from Disney or Marvel has been forthcoming over the upcoming film, but the rumours that the film will star the Guardians of the Galaxy just will not go away - especially after the ending credits of The Avengers revealing a certain well known villain. 

Deadline believes that the film is indeed the Guardians, and that audiences should expect to see the rebooted 2008 cast from the comic, and not the original team created by Arnold Drak and Gene Colan. 

Maybe we will get an announcement at Comic-Con?
