Knight Rider (Kaotic Shock Remix)

Weekend Remix: It’s called Music Michael

Song: Knight Rider (Kaotic Shock Remix)
By: Kaotic Shock
Based On: Knight Rider Theme
Original Composer: Stu Phillips

It’s probably one of the most remixed songs from television today. You’ve heard it from songs featuring the likes of Punjabi MC/Jay-Z, Busta Rhymes, and even System of a Down. And unlike David Hasselhoff’s acting gigs, the tune’s catchy effect never seems to weaken.

So just why is Stu Phillips’s theme for Knight Rider so remix worthy?

Listening to that identifiable synth-line that comes in like a robotic flutter, it’s actually easy to see why this theme is popular. And yes, while it’s managed to blaze up the music charts a few times in some transformed way, that doesn’t mean you should ignore Kaotic Shock’s remix.

Instead of giving the theme a dire change, Shock seems to build around it, supplying a heavy and banging techno groove with the memorable theme.

Doing so simply helps this song drive for miles.

Until next weekend…GO Party!

I was just humming this theme in the car on the way to work today. I miss the show and I want a KITT of my own so bad.
