According to Minecraft creator Markus “Notch” Persson, the Xbox 360 version of the smash-hit action-adventure title has been purchased more than 3 million times. Released about two months ago, the game was priced at 1600 points, resulting in about $60 million in revenue for developer Mojang and Microsoft.

Notch also announced that Minecraft has broken 10 million units in sales across all platforms, with the PC version having sold 6.7 million units, the iOS and Android versions moving 700,000 units, and the recent success of the Xbox version.
