Anime Review: Eureka Seven AO - 14

Well, that’s not creepy at all…

Hmmm, not really a fan of the new intro as compared to the first one, but it’ll do. Okay, where to begin with this episode… So much going on, and some new revelations I don’t think any of us saw coming. First and foremost is the fact that Naru seems to have showed up much like Eureka. In fact, I’m getting the feeling that she just might be Eureka’s daughter. That means we got some of that Star Wars stuff going on, as she is then Ao’s older sister. We now have to worry about her motives as well, as she and Truth are working together along with Nakamura. Each of them is pretty deadly and crazy in their own right, even Naru seems to have completely flipped. The one thing I didn’t want was to see Naru and Ao fighting against each other, but it looks like that is going to happen.

Outside of all of that craziness, there is also the whole Coralian/Secret thing going on. Now it’s being speculated that the Secrets are just after Nirvash(es) and not the Scab Coral. We’ve also learned that removing the Quartz from the Scab Coral, it’s essentially killing the Coralian. So, now it’s impossible to say who is right or wrong and what is really going on between Coralians, Humans and the Secrets. Just what I needed, more confusion. Also, judging by the opening sequences with Naru orbiting the earth, I think we are only dealing with one Earth. While there very well could be some dimensional shifting going on in regards to the Secrets, everything else seems to be moving back and forth along the same timeline. I like this series, I really do, but the headaches are getting more consistent.

In all, this episode seems to be a setup for something even bigger than the last. I have a feeling that a lot will be revealed, and very soon. I’m expecting this wobbling tower of confusion is going to topple or at least start to lean in the next few episodes. It shouldn’t be long before everything comes crashing down and we find out what is really going on while sifting through what is left.
