Don’t believe everything that you hear. That’s what Square Enix CEO Yoichi Wada seemed to convey as he sent out a tweet confirming that Final Fantasy Versus XIII does still exist among rumors pertaining to the title’s demise.

Wada tweeted: “It seems someone is spreading a false rumor about Versus being canceled.” The CEO added that he had just exited “a regularly scheduled meeting for Versus,” and that “if you were to see the city etc. presented today, you wouldn’t be able to stand from surprise.”

So there you go. Versus not only exists but it’s also able to take the ability to stand away from you from just a mere look. There is some news that the game may be getting some help from the Luminous Engine, which was revealed at E3 via a gorgeous tech demo.
