Deadline reports that Marvel and ABC Studios are in talks regarding creating a new TV drama series, based in Marvel’s cinematic universe — most notably set in the corner associated with The Avengers.
The show presumably won’t feature any of the characters from the film, but instead it seems that ABC are keen on capturing “some of its themes and feel” and translating them onto the smaller screen. Indeed, Deadline stresses that this is all very much at a preliminary, informal stage, with the proposed project being “a kernel of an idea.”
Apparently, one of the suggestions has been for the series to be a high-concept cop show. S.H.I.E.L.D. TV series anyone?
