Games of the Week: P-1 Grand Prix

Persona 4 Arena (PS3, 360): Developed by famed fighting game developer ARC System Works — responsible for the franchises Guilty Gear and BlazBlue — comes a new fighter that takes the characters of one of the most beloved JRPG’s in years. It features beautiful hand-drawn and an original fighting engine made for hardcore fans of the genre.

——

Hybrid (360): Scribblenauts developer 5th Cell has taken a bit of a detour, opting to create a new third-person shooter that emphasizes cover. Players cannot freely move in Hybrid, but are forced to scramble between cover objects in the environment while avoiding gunfire.

Sound Shapes (PS3, Vita): A rare release for the Vita could be one of the best yet. This unique platformer creates music as players go and will also allow for players to make and share their own stages, each with a different tune depending on the layout of the stage.

Other Games:

  • Hero Academy (PC)
  • The Amazing Spider-Man (PC)
