“Defenders” Comes To An End As Fraction Heads Up “Fantastic Four” and “FF”

Matt Fraction’s Defenders title will be coming to an end in November with issue #12, Marvel has announced. Starring Doctor Strange, Iron Fist, Silver Surfer, Black Cat, and the Red She-Hulk, the final arc will be a Kirby-esque romp involving mysterious Wakandan artefacts that warp space and time.
It’s not all doom and gloom for Mr. Fraction however, as Marvel has also confirmed that he will be taking hold of both Fantastic Four and FF as part of Marvel NOW!
Details under the cut.

First up, Fraction will be teaming with Mark Bagley for Fantastic Four. Bringing back the Future Foundation kids to the main title, Fraction says that the book will focus a lot more on the family aspect of the characters, with each issue of the first arc a done-in-one field trip to certain parts of space and time.

Then, Fraction and Mike Allred will be creating FF, which will star a brand new team of characters that the Fantastic Four handpick themselves. Featuring Scott Lang as Ant-Man, Medusa of the Inhumans, the original She-Hulk, and a new character wearing a Thing outfit who will be known as Miss Thing, the title will see the team battling familiar F4 villains, as well as new and exciting problems.
Defenders #12, Fantastic Four #1, and FF #1 all hit the stands in November.
