Marvel Closes The Doors On “Avengers Academy”

With the release of their November Solicitations, Marvel has made it known that Avengers Academy will be coming to an end with issue #39.

More details after the break.

——

The series has followed a cast of entirely new characters, led by teachers such as Giant Man and Tigra as they try to learn how to become the best heroes they can be and not succumb to the side of villainy.

The series has been entirely written by Christos Gage, with all 39 issues and a Point One issue under his belt. Gage expressed his sadness via Twitter, stating that the characters will continue to exist in the Marvel Universe, but not under his pen, which could be a sign of a Marvel NOW! relaunch in the coming months.

I personally found Avengers Academy a consistently excellent title, and hope this is the case.

Avengers Academy #39, the final issue, will be released in November.
