“Dredd” Dispenses Justice In First TV Spot

The first TV spot for Dredd, the upcoming Lionsgate film directed by Pete Travis, has been released. It is a nice little promo, essentially recycling material from the trailer, although there are a few snippets of new footage present.

The main buzz around the TV spot has been over what it is lacking, instead of what it shows, with the promo proudly announcing that Dredd is, “Based on the legendary comic book,” without actually naming 2000 AD.

Dredd is set for a September 7 UK release, before opening in the US September 21.
