A Vernal, Utah man is facing an aggravated assault charge after attacking his roommate with a knife and replica Wolverine claws.

The story is as weird as it sounds.

19-year-old Kristofer Ryan Huff, was arrested with felony aggravated assault last Friday after police thought that he may have attacked his 20-year-old roommate.

“(The alleged victim) sustained probably five to six wounds to his head, and then two to his arm, multiple defense wounds on his hands and then one real deep wound to his thigh,” said Vernal Police Sgt. Vance Norton.”

Huff’s mother was also reportedly injured in the left arm while trying to pull him off his roommate. And as if this twisted real life tale of Marvel’s What If isn’t weird enough, apparently Norton added that Huff’s mother is dating the roommate.

Huff was booked into jail, but posted a $10,000 bail. He’s due to appear in court on Sept. 10.
