Pokémon Developer Releasing New Game Next Week in Japan

Announced today at the Nintendo Direct streaming press conference was a piece of news that might raise a few eyebrows of Pokémon fans. Game Freak, a developer of the Pokémon franchise, showed off some brief footage of their new game Rhythm Hunter: HarmoKnight, which will be headed to the Japanese Nintendo eShop next week.

The new game is described as a rhythm platformer that has players traversing 2D levels to various music. Players will have to run, jump and attack in time to the music, which will be featuring a few select Pokémon tunes.
