“Blade Runner”-Inspired Short By Ridley Scott’s Son
Ridley Scott’s son, Luke, recently teamed up with RED Camera, for LOOM, a Blade Runner-inspired short.
Starring Giovanni Ribisi as a labortory worker in a dystopian future, the short not only showcases Luke’s skills, but also is meant to present some of RED Camera’s technical goals. For example, the short was shot in 4K format, constructed for 3D and meant to test out RED’s prototype REDray 3D Laser Player.
