Pop GO is 2 years old!
On September 6, 2010, we launched Population GO in hopes to create a place on Tumblr for all of our fellow geeks and otaku out there. Approximately (and surprisingly) 2 years later, Pop GO still exists, still reaching out to those on Tumblr and beyond.
It’s been quite the ride filled with some hard and some fun work. We’ve been through a few transformations, we’ve ventured into a few outlets, we’ve worked with many wonderful writers, and most importantly, we’ve experienced growth we never imagined 2 years ago. And frankly, we’re not that big at all.
Still, none of it would be remotely possible if it wasn’t for each and every reader who felt that we were worth following, subscribing, friending, and liking. We wouldn’t exist if our readers deemed us not worth the entertainment or the information. There wouldn’t be a Pop GO if our fellow geeks and otaku out there didn’t help us build a place where all of us can be… us.
On behalf of every staff member of Pop GO, I thank you all for helping keep us afloat these last couple of years! We ask that you continue being our life vest and help us tread water just a little bit longer. We’ll do our best to make sure we continue to stick to what’s made us be us and keep at most an internet arm’s length within those who have helped make us be us.
With that said, be on the lookout for lots of 2-year goodies all day long. Our podcast will be launched, old staff members will make an appearance and a prize giveaway will be run!
