Marvel’s “Phase One” Collection Delayed

Were you looking forward to getting your hands on the funky looking ‘Phase One’ Marvel Films Collection on Blu-Ray? Eagerly counting down the days until September 25? Well, I’d stop now if I were you, since due to a legal dispute, the collection’s release has been pushed back to next spring.
Hit the break for details.

Of all the reasons this marvelous looking set could be delayed over, I didn’t expect it to be this one.
EW.com reports that Disney has been forced to delay the release, because a German luggage firm has filed a lawsuit claiming that the silver briefcase for the six-film collection and the Tesseract is too similar to one of its products.
Indeed, the firm, Rimowa GmbH, reportedly filed the lawsuit on August 1 to the California Central District Court, claiming that the suitcase the collection comes in as a knock-off of their Topas attache case, and that allowing Marvel to circulate this product will hurt their brand.
As such, pre-orders are being shut down on major online retail sites, whilst Marvel and Disney are apparently pulling the collections, and redesigning the packaging for an unspecified release, next spring.
