In its Wii U preview event in New York, Nintendo announced that the Wii U will hit North American stores on November 18.

Nintendo’s Wii U will be backwards compatible with all previous games and accessories and will come in two configurations: Basic Set and Delux Set.

The Basic Set includes the console, a GamePad, an AC adapter, an HDMI cable and a sensor bar. It has 8 GB of memory, is colored in white and is priced at $299.99.

The Delux Set includes everything the in the Basic Set in addition to a charging cable for the GamePad, a stand for the console and both GamePads and a copy of Nintendo Land. It has 32 GB of memory, is colored in all black and is priced at $349.99.

The Wii U is set to launch in Europe on November 30 and in Japan on December 8.
