Kou finally gets to the point.

In this chapter, Futaba worries because Kou acts as if nothing happened when they accidentally kiss. Futaba spends most of the chapter worrying over her embarrassment, especially since Kikuchi tells her that the kiss probably meant nothing. Things aren’t helped along by Narumi, who says Kou wasn’t bothered at all, and it probably wasn’t his first accidental kiss. Futaba becomes upset and when Kou shows up again, she runs off. Kikuchi tells Kou to lay off, but Kou gives him the death stare and runs after Futaba. The two finally face off in an empty classroom and Kou tells Futaba that the kiss doesn’t have to mean anything if she doesn’t want it to. Seeing that she is angry because of his apathy, Kou kisses her again, this time warning her that he is completely serious. There is no accident this time.

My inner fangirl was jumping up and down at the end of the chapter when Kou and Futaba kissed. Finally the two idiots figure out that they like each other! I was also proud of Kou for actually showing his emotions for once and going after Futaba. She’ll feel much better now that she knows he shares her feelings. I am a bit worried about how things are going to go after all of this, but they did kiss about three times so I assume some serious changes are going to occur.

There are several worrying developments in this chapter, including Kikuchi not giving up on Futaba. He is such a sweetie and I feel terrible because the girl he likes is now making out with another guy. He also may start something with Kou, which is troublesome. It is also inferred that Narumi has some feelings for Kou that he doesn’t share. Hopefully she doesn’t make things too complicated so that Futaba and Kou can proceed into a relationship status.

I’m looking forward to seeing if Kou and Futaba start into a relationship next week. I also want to know what Kikuchi’s next move will be when he has so clearly lost some ground. The rest of the Night Festival should be exciting to see!
