Tsuna is so cool and this chapter proved it!

——

The counterattack against Jager-kun began in earnest. Tsuna immediately got himself together and aided his partners in defeating this terrible and powerful foe. While everyone else struggled to land a blow against the short-warping expert, Jager, Tsuna got a blow right upon entering the battlefield.

Unfortunately, Jager wasn’t going to go down without putting up a good fight. Immediately upon taking that blow, through some mechanic Tsuna discovered later on, he was able to recover and essentially corner Tsuna. Thankfully, the power of teamwork and friendship is strong in this group of individuals, and they managed to take Jager’s full assault.

Tsuna’s hyper-intuition didn’t let their defeat go in vain. I like the intuition aspect of his power as it differentiates him among many of the other shonen protagonists who simply get power boosts and nothing else, which is cool in some moments, but at the end of the day can be quite boring since it’s all the same. A character who is able to get a power boost as well as become more in tune with their surroundings to notice even the minute of details and put pieces in place is a far more interesting and valuable main character.

I wouldn’t have ever thought that Bermuda’s flames were empowering his minions. However, it did seem to make sense why he had to consistently be on top of Jager’s shoulders unlike the other Arcobaleno who never seemed to always be on their partners’ shoulders. Even more, it helped explain why Jager was so seemingly exhausted consistently in this fight. Regardless, the scene of him being blasted by Tsuna and the power of teamwork was amazing.

The arc has gotten to be quite stunning with these chapters all back to back. I can not even think of a single chapter as of late that has been bad. Akira Amano has consistently delivered on keeping the stakes high and tension and action worth following, and this chapter was in line with those same aspects. With Bermuda’s curse time removed, how will Tsuna and friends take him, and more, what is his ability?
