Author Hiroaki Samura will be ending in the February 2013 issue of Kodansha’s Monthly Afternoon magazine. The announcement came via the magazine’s latest issue. Blade Of The Immortal launched in Monthly Afternoon in December of 1993.
Given sacred bloodworms that will heal nearly any wound, Manji was a past criminal who killed 100 men, including his sister’s husband. His sister’s death leads him to make the vow to kill 1,000 evil men, and he vows to stay alive until he completes this task.
Blade is unique in many aspects, including its realistic artwork compared to other manga.
Dark Horse Comics published the 25th volume of the series August.
