There can only one reason why they are so dressed up: fanservice

——

With this chapter, the obvious is starting to be revealed to the characters, that M-24 has been brainwashed by the Union. Oh, the irony of it all, it is almost painful to watch. Judging from the work thus far, I know that it isn’t as easy as a simple brainwash. M-24’s lack of memories before his supposed “death” must mean something more, but what?

Regardless of what has happened to M-24, I am positive that Frankenstein has the ability to ultimately heal and cure him of Union control. In fact, the various pauses Frankenstein makes while reading M-24’s data gives me the feeling that he knows more than he shows. Perhaps he already knows that M-24 is under Union control. Still, my worry isn’t about Frankenstein healing M-24. In fact, a great plot twist would be if he couldn’t be healed or if he dies before getting healed, but that Rai will gather too many allies. My opinion of the plot would greatly decrease if after every arc enemies will turn into allies.

I was under the impression that the Union Elders were human, or some sort of monsters. I did not know that being half-walrus made you a monster. But I digress, the 10th Walrus Elder somehow knew to expect Regis and Seira. This could mean A) He, or an underling of his, has clairvoyance; B) there is a traitor among the Noblesse, which wouldn’t be too surprising, seeing how one of the Elders used to be one of Rai’s retainers; C) that he, Regis, and Seira have been in contact. Wouldn’t it be great if they turned traitor? Granted, judging by their characters, it won’t happen, but the thought of potential plot twists excite me.

GO Rating: 4/5

I would have given this chapter a 3.5/5 but walruses makes everything better.
