Official Trailer For Dead Island Is Moving

Game developer Techland (Call of Juarez) recently unveiled their official trailer for long in the making zombie game Dead Island. It’s a first-person shooter game without the use of guns—you must make use of objects and items you find around you as weapons—that takes place on an island resort infested by aggressive walkers endowed with superhuman strength.

Sure it may sound a little cliché, and sure, people are probably getting tired of the whole zombie craze. This game might turn out to be average for all we know. But by God this trailer is absolutely stunning. The combination of chilling soundtrack and shocking visuals help strike a certain emotional chord that video game trailers rarely do.

The fact that children will not be impervious to infection alone makes this game something that needs to be looked out for. And the use of a child in this video highlighting that fact makes this trailer a must watch.

Dead Island is scheduled to release sometime in 2011 for 360, PS3, and PC, though no official date has been announced.
