Two episodes in, and it appears that the CW is pretty happy with the reception Arrow has been receiving. The show, which stars Stephen Amell as Oliver “Green Arrow” Queen, managed to pull in 4.1 million viewers with its debut and 3.5 million viewers with the second episode.
And that’s enough for CW to commit to the rest of the show’s freshman season.
More information after the break.
The CW ordered the back nine episodes of the show, meaning that viewers will get a total of 22 episodes of Queen’s adventures this beginning season.
“Our strategy of rolling out our new fall schedule later in the year really paid off for The CW on several levels, especially with Arrow, CW president Mark Pedowitz said. “I’m proud of the quality of ‘Arrow’ and I’m happy we’ll be able to share more of it with viewers.”
Let’s hope that this is an opportunity for more tricky and creative arrows. Just one boxing glove arrow is all I ask.
