Matthew Vaughn No Longer Directing “X-Men: Days of Future Past”

According to Deadline Hollywood, it looks as though Matthew Vaughn is out as the director of X-Men: First Class sequel Days of Future Past. This is not an unprecedented move for Vaughn who has bowed out of numerous projects, including the third X-Men film The Last Stand.

As for who will replace him, that remains unknown at the moment, although it looks like Fox would love to see the director of the first 2 X-Men films, Bryan Singer, take the helm. That would be the perfect replacement, but only time will tell who’ll take the reigns.
