Japan Features Stunning “Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance” Special Edition

Who feels like making an import? You might consider it after laying eyes on this Japanese-only special edition of Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance. Be aware, of course, you need a Japanese PlayStation 3; sorry, Xbox 360 owners, this is a PS3 exclusive.

Want it? Need it? Hit the break to see what you get.

——

There are two versions of the special edition: The Premium Package and the Premium Package Konami Style Special Edition (maybe abbreviate it as, PPKSSE, for your friends). Both versions include an art book, the original game soundtrack, and an in-game skin that turns you into Grey Fox (fromMetal Gear Solid).

But the main difference are the figurines that you get in the box.  The figures, though, are unique in their own way. The Premium Package, which costs ¥9980 (approx. $125), comes with a “dead” drone figure that breaks in half.

Meanwhile, the Premium Package Konami Style Special Edition, which runs ¥12,980 ($160, approx.) features both the drone and the above detailed Raiden figure.
Start saving your pennies and checking import rates now so you can get your copy of either editions, loyal MGS fans.

Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance releases on February 19, 2013 in North America and two days later (Feb. 21) in Japan and Europe.
