“New Super Mario Bros. 2” DLC Adds Classic Levels

Remember the past with a game that breathes inspiration from the past! New Super Mario Bros. 2 for the Nintendo 3DS has reached a cumulative fan milestone of collecting 300 billion coins. The coin-centric mechanic was recently introduced to the mobile series. To celebrate, Nintendo is rolling out some classic levels re-created in the game engine.

The Gold Classics Pack features levels 1-1, 1-2, and 1-4 from the original Super Mario Bros., and levels 1-1 and 1-5 from Super Mario Bros. 3. Round 1 from the first game, Mario Bros., will also be featured in the pack.
The levels will be available starting today through January 31, 2013, as a free add-on, and will cost $2.50 starting February 1.
