Previously in Soul Eater: Wow, time flies for this monthly manga. When we were last with it, Justin and Tezca duked it out. Tezca utilized mirror clones which Justine effectively wiped out. What happened next? Read on!

Plot Continuation:  The pursuit for the Kishin has reached new levels with any place not complying at liberty of being stormed. In this part, we learned that it was Baghdad. To this end, Death the Kid decided to head out to the Lost Island to search for Eibon. Later, we found that he reached the destination and ran into Eibon who would share more details.

Returning back to the fight, Tezca and Justin had a conversation over how Justin operates, who simply finds a leader based on the one that allows him to live pleasantly. Regardless of that conversation, that, in my opinion, went nowhere. Tezca utilized the power of sunlight and mirrors to attack.

Justin was able to retaliate, clearly affected by his fusion to his clown partner, the Kishin effects, and possibly the madness wavelength as well, and delivered execution to Tezca, decapitating him.

Chrona returned to Medusa to deliver the report of the assault in Ukraine that was covered in a mini-arc around the 82nd chapter — the massive black blood attack that left an entire town devastated. Regardless, Medusa acted rather out of character by showing love and affection to her child Chrona, that ended up leading to her stabbing.

Artwork:  The artwork had its moments with Tezca and Justin looking greatly detailed in their desperation or execution moment. The scenes with Chrona and Medusa, though, looked like it could have been given more details… especially in the dinner and stabbing scenes.

Concluding Remarks: The set of chapters effectively killed off two characters. Possibly both could be dubious, though I doubt that Tezca is not dead. Medusa being dead is a shocking aspect. However, the fact that in her moments, she mentioned the Black Blood being complete and eliminating all support make me wonder if this was just a body replacement for Medusa, who is just watching from afar. Ultimately chapter 88 can not come fast enough.
