As soon as it was announced that Anne Hathaway was starring as Selina Kyle in The Dark Knight Rises, rumors began circulating that this would lead to Hathaway having a spin-off Catwoman movie. Whilst discussing her role in the upcoming Les Miserables, Access Hollywood discussed the possibility of a Catwoman solo adventure.

Geek Spotlight: 10 Halloween Film Treats (Part 2)

Earlier today I posted up 10 Film Halloween Treats (Part One), an article detailing ten films that I like to enjoy during the spooky season. Part One featured the first five, and this piece will wrap up the final five. As mentioned in the previous installment, these aren’t my all-time favorite horror films; this isn’t a definitive list, it’s just a list of ten films that I like to watch over the Halloween period. So, back to the action we go.

Hathaway Would Return As Catwoman… If Nolan Comes Too

[via]

It’s one of those stories which was always likely to surface, especially after the commercial and critical success of The Dark Knight Rises.

In an interview with Digital Spy, Anne Hathaway says that she would be open to the possibility returning as Selina Kyle/Catwoman in a solo film, but only if the “right people” were behind it.

More below the break.

DC Nation Short - Bat Man of Shanghai: Cat Woman

Unveiled at Comic-Con, here is the latest DC Nation Short which features an alternate version of Cat Woman. In it we are introduced to the alternate Cat Woman in 1930’s Shanghai and features a quick cameo by Bane.

The clip itself is only a minute long, but I have to say I was completely enthralled by it. The artwork, animation and the music were beautiful. The short itself feels like a blend between the animation style used in O-Ren’s background story of Kill Bill Vol. 1 and Nickelodeon’s Avatar: The Legend of Korra.

“The Dark Knight Rises” - 13-Minute Featurette

Warner Bros. has released an extended sneak peak of The Dark Knight Rises. This featurette contains a few new clips, interviews with the cast and crew, and a look at the behind-the-scenes process of creating the film.

It’s well worth a watch. I’m basically just sitting here waiting for the film to be released now.

The legend ends July 20th. But I’m sure you know that by now…

Three New Banners For “The Dark Knight Rises” Released

The promotional campaign for the end of the Dark Knight legend has really stepped up a notch recently, with various posters and banners being released.

Today is no different, recycling three of the recent character posters into banner format. The design of these banners is somewhat more interesting than the posters however.

The Dark Knight Rises opens July 20.

New Poster For “The Dark Knight Rises” Spotlights Catwoman’s…Heel
Batman-News.com has found another poster for Nolan’s final Batman film, with the poster apparently being discovered on the film’s website by using a QR code.
Whilst somewhat simplistic, it really works and is definitely a more striking image than some of the latest offerings.

Four More Film Posters/Banners For “The Dark Knight Rises”

Didn’t I say back in this post that the marketing campaign for The Dark Knight Rises would get into full swing? Well, over the past few days we’ve seen the release of new character posters, two TV Spots along with the release of new film stills via Batman News and Empire Online, along with the on-going Tumblr Tour which should now be heading over to Chicago, Illinois, to be on display May 25th.

As for now these four new and awesome posters/banners have made their way onto the net via Collider. The bottom two banners feature the two opposing forces of the film with Bane standing at the head of his convict army while Batman stands ahead of the Gotham Police Department. Another thing to note is the top left banner which would insinuate the types of odds Batman and the GPD will face in the movie considering that Bane and his army take up 2/3 of the banner space.

Three More Character Posters For “The Dark Knight Rises”

After an initial set of character posters featuring the the film’s three main characters were released earlier in the week, a new set featuring the same characters has been released to contrast the previous three.

Whereas the previous set had the trio pelted with debris and rain in front of a dark and stormy background, this set features the three characters in a much lighter and softer setting as they stand looking off in the distance in snowy backdrop.

Three New Character Posters For “The Dark Knight Rises”

Shortly after yesterday’s fiery release of a new Dark Knight Rises poster, these three one-sheet character posters for the film were released. Featuring the likes of Anne Hathaway’s Catwoman, Christian Bale in his Batman Costume and Tom Hardy’s Bane, these posters offer a darker contrast to the orange fire of yesterday’s poster favoring rain and debris bombarding the trio.

The film also stars Gary Oldman, Michael Caine, Morgan Freeman, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Marion Cottilard, Juno Temple with Josh Pence and Liam Neeson

The Dark Knight Rises opens on July 20th.

Live-Action, “Arkham City” Fight Scene

The fight choreography in Batman: Arkham City is downright awesome, and the folks at Thousand Pounds Action Company have brought the nuances of the game’s ass-whoopin’s to life. Starring Mickey you-so-fine Facchinello, the stuntwoman gives a mighty spanking to this circle of thugs in the style of Catwoman

Enjoy this half-ton, feast for the eyes!

Anne Hathaway Looks Purrrrfect

Sneak peeks have been floating around, but we finally get to see Anne Hathaway fully suited as Catwoman on set for Christopher Nolan’s The Dark Knight Rises. Originally, I was like “That’s it?” I wasn’t so much disappointed, rather, I expected something more. However, I took to liking the suit real fast. I think it has that super classic feel, resembling Julie Newmar and Earth Kitt. And Anne Hathaway doesn’t disappoint— lookin mighty fine if you ask me.

More photos after the break!
