It’s Luke, Not Loki, For “The Crow”

image

Last month we had reported that Tom Hiddleston was very close to signing a deal to play the lead in the reboot of The Crow, but now it looks as though the role will go to Luke Evans (The Raven).

Evans will be busy over the next few months with his villainous turn in Fast & Furious 6, and his role as Bard, the slayer of Smaug, in the upcoming second Hobbit film. The film is set to begin filming early next year to accommodate Evans’ busy schedule.

Daniel Radcliffe To Star In “Tokyo Vice” Movie

It looks like Jake Adelstein’s Tokyo Vice is not only getting a live-action film, but it already has its leading man. Daniel Radcliffe (Harry Potter) will star as the author, as the adaptation details Adelstein’s real-life story of being an American who covered the Tokyo Crime Beat and the Yakuza.

Tokyo Vice is a personal favorite of mine, and while I don’t really see the resemblance between Radcliffe and Adelstein, I’m sure he’s got the acting chops to do the film justice.

Production is scheduled to begin next year.

Chris Cooper To Play Norman Osborne In “Amazing Spider-Man 2”

image

If you had started to worry that between Jamie Foxx’s Electro, Paul Giamatti’s Rhino & Dane DeHaan’s Harry Osborne, that there might not be enough villains in the upcoming sequel to last year’s Amazing Spider-Man, fret no more. The Hollywood Reporter said today that Oscar winner Chris Cooper (Adaptation) has signed to play the man who would be Green Goblin.

Granted this isn’t too much of a shock since Oscorp did feature so heavily in the first film’s storyline, it just feels like this film is going to burst at the seams if they add any more major characters to the film.
