20th Century Fox has confirmed that the teased sequel to Ridley Scott’s Prometheus has been put in motion. Indeed, stars Michael Fassbender and Noomi Rapace have already been signed up for the follow-up, which can be expected to hit theaters some time in 2014 or 2015.

There’s no one in Hollywood with a better track record than Brad Bird. In the feature film department, he’s four for four, and his next project sound like the stuff that fanboy dreams are made of.
According to Deadline Hollywood, Bird’s looking to go five for five by signing with Disney to direct 1952 based on a script by Lost co-creator Damon Lindelof. Details are not known about the project at this time, but Disney can go ahead and debit ten bucks from my account now, because they’ve got my money…
