There’s news today that Jonathan Rhys Meyers (Velvet Goldmine) is in talks for an undisclosed role in the upcoming Star Wars: Episode VII.

El Mayimbe over at Latino Review broke the scoop, and he has a pretty good track record with breaking casting news. Let the speculation begin on what role he’ll be playing, but if it’s true, my money’s on Jacen Solo (if they even go down that road).

Harrison Ford ‘Looking Forward To’ “Star Wars”

With Harrison Ford heavily rumored to return as everyone’s favorite space pirate, Han Solo, for Star Wars: Episode VII, Ford himself has spoken to WGN about the prospect of a return.

Ford said,“I’m looking forward to it… I think it’s going to happen.”

Still, we’ve not got official confirmation, but everything seems to be lining up for Ford to return, not to mention Mark Hamill and Carrie Fisher, aka Luke Skywalker and Princess Leia. George Lucas himself even seemingly let it slip that the three original stars were near returning a few weeks ago.

At present, Star Wars: Episode VII is set for a 2015 release and will be directed by J.J. Abrams.
