Games of the Week: F3AR The Reaper

[via]

F.3.A.R (PS3, 360, PC): Leet-speakers unite! You have a new favorite game with this generation’s most frightening shooter franchise. It promises more bullet-time, viciously gory deaths and the same creepy Alma slowly walking towards you down a long hallway while you helplessly watch and piss yourself.

Dungeon Siege III (PS3, 360, PC): While this series started as another Diablo knockoff, it gained a small legion of dedicated fans. Then it went quiet until more recently Obsidian, responsible for Neverwinter Nights 2 and Fallout: New Vegas, grabbed the rights and decided to build a story-heavy sequel complete with branching dialogue, coop adventuring, and highly customizable skill sets for the four different characters.

Trenched (360): Tim Schafer’s Double Fine has created a very interesting take on the standard “fighting mech” game. This arcade title promises wacky humor, customizable mechs, an alien invasion and online coop fun.

L.A. Noire - Nicholson Electroplating Disaster (PS3, 360): The first piece of downloadable content to come for the most popular game thus far in 2011. Go back to the Arson desk with this new case.

Other Games:

  • Shadows of the Damned (PS3, 360)
  • Cars 2 (PS3, 360, Wii, 3DS, DS, PSP)
